I painted the pathway to a side entrance of a church, Notre Dame, by Morningside Drive. This pathway, in any season, is a place of peace and serenity – it is where I sit and mediate and let my mind be free. As anyone who lives or even visits New York City becomes aware, it is hard to find a quite place or a place that you can let go from the world. I wanted to share my place of harmony to the viewer. The painting is not finished because I wish my viewer to finish or add on to it in their mind’s eye.
